Our Giant Hill Aglioni are vegetables with an excellent flavor and authenticity. Our cultivar grows in a forest 700 meters above sea level, at the foot of Mount Cetona, in the authentic heart of Val d'Orcia, in the municipality of Sarteano (SI). These garlics grow without artificial irrigation or fertilizers, drawing nourishment only from the volcanic soil, frequently aerated to free it from grasses.
This refined vegetable resembles garlic but is actually a leek, with large bulbs and a more delicate flavor, thanks to the low allicin content. This makes it easily digestible, nothing smells, no bad breath. Growing without artificial interventions, its flavor is enriched with mineral notes.
